January 29th Early Labor

Our John Curtis tried to arrive 10 weeks early on January 29th. My water broke at 29 weeks and 5 days. We arrived at University Hospital around 11:30pm. The nurses confirmed my water had broken and I was having contractions. Jason and I thought the baby would have to be delivered at that point. However, the plan was to stop the contractions and to avoid infection keep me in the hospital until the baby was born. What a shock! Even though they knew that we were not having the baby at that time Jason's parents and my mom came over from Alabama. It was comforting to us, most of all Eli, to have our family here during this uncertain time.
